Verity Investment Counsel's Privacy Policy

As required by Title V of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Verity Investment Counsel, Inc. (VIC) has instituted formal policies to protect the privacy of the personal information you provide to VIC and its representatives. This policy applies to consumers who are current or former Verity Investment clients or who register for one of VIC’s services or promotional offers.

From time to time, it is necessary for VIC and its representatives to collect personal information from you and about you and your finances. This information is used to open your account(s), to process transactions and to provide you with a better level of service. We understand that you have entrusted us with your private financial information, and we do everything possible to maintain that trust.

We collect non-public, personal information in the normal course of business when you open an account, register for one of our services or when you accept a promotional offer for a product or service sponsored by Verity Investment Counsel, Inc. Specifically, VIC collects non-public, personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information provided by you on applications, questionnaires or other forms

  • Information provided by you during phone conversations or personal meetings

  • Information about your transactions associated with VIC, its affiliates or others

  • Information received from a consumer reporting agency

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not disclose any non-public, personal information about clients or former clients to anyone, except as required by law. We do not share your personal information with third parties unless you have specifically asked us to do so.

We restrict access to non-public, personal information about you to those who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic, personal information.

If, at any time in the future, it is necessary to disclose any of your personal information in a way that is inconsistent with this Policy, we will give you advance notice of the proposed change so that you will have the opportunity to opt out of such disclosure.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, do not hesitate to contact Michelle L. Ouzounian at 262-898-8400.
